A heavy downpour in Guwahati wreaked no less havoc with massive logging disrupting normal life many parts of the principal city in the north eastern region. Many areas in Nabin Nagar, Lachit Nagar, Anil Nagar, Chandmari, Zoo Road have come under the rainwaters three days after the massive woes. The waterlogging has resulted in a huge traffic snarls in the Guwahati-Shillong Road and the RG Baruah Road causing immense inconvenience to the commuters. The river Bharalu is no longer in a position to carry out the waters to the Brahmaputra which is flowing at an alarming level. The situation in Guwahati would be more grim if rains refuse to halt. Same scene strikes in Khanapara where many areas have been flooded.
