No let-up in flood fury

There seems to be no let-up in the overall flood scene in Assam on Wednesday with incessant rains in many parts of the state along with the catchment areas in Arunachal Pradesh. The mighty Brahmaputra and its tributaries have been flowing abode the danger level suggesting a grim scene during the next couple of days.

The current flood waters have inundated the Kaziranga National Park forcing many birds and animals to move to the nearby Karbi hills area.

The Pobitora sanctuary is still reeling water flood waters. On the other hand, flood waters have entered more and more areas in Sonitpur, Morigaon, Lakhimpur and Dhemaji forcing the authority to expedite relief and rescue operations.
