Four NDFB(S) linkmen arrested

Chirang police arrested four persons from different places along Bengtol area, who are sympathizer and collected money for the NDFB(S), including Monica Basumatary, wife of BR Ferengga, General Secretary of the militant outfit, and two-teachers in Chirang district on Sunday.

Addressing the reporters on Monday at Chirang SP office Kajalgaon, Dr LR Bishnoi,ADGP,Assam said that police arrested four persons,who have been supporting NDFB(S) through collecting money for the militant outfit organisation. Police had been kept closed observation about working and supporting towards militant outfits in the region that some peoples in the area extending financial supports by collecting money and hence they were apprehended on Saturday and Sunday after thorough investigation. They were identified as Monica Basumatary,wife of BR Ferengga, General Secretary of NDFB(S),Pingkush Narzary, Jitendra Narzary,Headmaster of Tukrajhar HS School and Pradip Narzary, teacher of a school in Bengtol area.

Police recovered cash 13,000 and four mobile handsets from their possession, among them two are school teachers, who collect money and contribute donation to the militant outfit.

Bishnoi told that Ferengga joined the militant outfit organisation 2013,who was a lecturer at Bengtol College in History department that is why immediately upgraded to higher rank as general secretray as well commander in chief following his qualified positions.He said that Ferengga had opened two face book accounts by fake name through which he has been sharing organizational view and activities. Police has been stern action against militant outfit and intensifying its operation in the area. He also said that NDFB-S militant outfit has been facing financial suffering in their stability, which are staying in Myanmar and Bhutan.Police on Monday produced the arrested persons at SP office at Kajalgaon.

“We arrested four persons including Monica Basumatary, wife of BR Ferengga in the area after keeping close eye on working and supporting among society. The local publics along the Bengtol area have been supporting militant outfit even though police administration had appealed not to extend support to militant organization.The arrested teachers voluntarily extending money support to the militant outfit in the area”,said Bishnoi.

Sangkhar Raimedhi,Chirang SP said that police has been stepping stern against militant outfit organisation in the district.

‘We had an input about collecting money for the NDFB(S) in the area because police had been kept strong observation’, said Raimedhi.
