The celebration was organized by Kokrajhar bazaar,North Kokrajhar and BTC Secretariat branches of Bank of India(SBI) ,on the occasion of Bank Day in collaboration with 135 Battalion of Eco Task Force to mark the Van Mahotsav in Kokrajhar.
BTC Executive member Doneswar Goyary inaugurated the celebration with planting of sapling at Tengapara LP school complex followed by bank official, student, and citizens on the day. The SBI marked the day Bank Day, which has been observed every year with different programme scheduled, this year bank authority decided to celebrate the day with bringing natural beautification and natural balancing in the world.
Goyary said, ‘It was an appreciated venture adapted from bank authority and ETF to bringing natural balance n the world through planting saplings. We must plant saplings and keep healthy living as well environment’.
Bidhan Chandra Brahma, Bank official said that the SBI authority decided to observe the day in association with Eco Task Force among society.
