NDFB condoles Isak Chisi Swu's demise

The National Democratic Front of Boroland (NDFB) expresses shock and mourns the demise of Isak Chisi Swu, Chairman of the National Socialist Council of Nagalim (Isak-Muivah)on June 29 in Delhi.

In a press statement, Lt. B Naijab,information and publicity secretary of NDFB said that the NDFB organisation salutes the departed soul of brave Isak Chisi Swu and pays homage to him.

‘His heartiest contributions and dedications for the next generations will always be remembered by all of us. In the midst of sorrow and unhappiness’, the NDFB conveys deepest condolence to all the leaders and cadres of the National Socialist Council of Nagalim-Isak-Muivah (NSCN-IM), bereaved family and prays that may almighty god grant everlasting peace to the departed soul. Hope that the dreams of the demise chairman Isak Chisi Swu will be successful, the NDFB leader added.

Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) team won the trophy defeating Lai Autonomous Council (LADC) of Mizoram 1-0 in the final match of inter sixth schedule premier league -2022 being held at SAI SAG center,Kathalguri Titaguri in Kokrajhar district. Professor Indira Boro, head of the department of Bodo for Bodoland University, has been named for an award from the Sahitya Akademy for translation in Bodo language. Dr. Boro has been named for the translation of her book Hirimba (originally written in Assamese by Jayanti Gogoi) Presently, Boro is the head of the department of Bodo at Bodoland University. Amid a strict security vigil, arrested Gujrat Congress MLA Jignesh Mevani was brought to Kokrajhar police station and later produced before the chief judicial magistrate (CJM) court.
