Four NDFB-S linkmen arrested

Security forces belogning to police and army from Pakriguri and Padmabil arrested four linkmen of NDFB-S along with arms under Serfanguri PS in Kokrajhar district on Wednesday morning.

The linkment of the militant linkmen during a joinr operation against militant outfits,which was conducted since last night.They were identified as Ram Tudu of Maligaon,Santosh Hembrom of Pakriguri village,Mwikhwm Mushahary and Jwisar Borgoyary of Padmabil village.A 7.62 country made gun,a 7.62 country made pistol, three live bullets were recovered from them.Mentioned be made that Ram Tudu,a cadre of National Shantali Liveration Army militant and arrested members were active with collection of money for NDFB-S organistaion,besides supplying ration and some other need materials.

LR Bishnoi,ADGP said, ‘Police has been intensifying search operation against militant outfits in the region and managed to arrested link men who are working for the milittant outfits’.He said that police will continue its search operation against militant outfits in the region to bring healthy society.

KOKRAHAR: A sense of alarm has gripped the Jharbari area after a timber smuggler was discovered dead in a firing incident during the early hours of the morning in Kokrajhar. Apurna Narzary, an international women's football player, has been nominated for the Emerging Player award for 2022-23 by the Sports & Youth Welfare department of the government of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR). Narzary has represented India in several international events and is the daughter of Biswajit Narzary of Khagrabari village in Kokrajhar district.
