World Environment Day observed in Pathsala
World Environment Day is observed in Pathasala at Bajali subdivision by many organizations and unions like Zubeen Friends club, Kalita Janagusti Satra Santaa, Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuva Chhatra Parishad and, Bajali college students Union, Rickswa thela Union Pathsala with Town committee on Sunday.
Zubeen friends club organized a tree planted program at Tapoban Special Children Home.
Member of Green Misson, state vice President of kishan morcha and BJP Nagen Choudhury said "Today we celebrated World Environment Day to raise awareness of the importance of protecting our planet". There are near about ten thousand trees planted by Green Mission in Bajali subdivision, he said.
Kalita Janagusti Satra Santha planted around five hundred trees in Bajali Subdivision roads and office's.

PATHSALA: Sensation prevails in Bajali subdivision area following the gruesome incident of fratricide at Purani Dumuria Chuba under Pathsala PS in Barpeta on Wednesday. Reportedly,Khargeswar Kalita(28) attacked his younger brother Diganta Kalita(22) with sharp weapons after a scuffle broke out over petty issues. Three poachers were arrested by Bajali police and a rhino horn recovered from them on Thursday. Pathsala police said that the poachers were trying to sell the rhino horn to a customer for Rs 15 lakh. The poachers have been identified as Harimohan Boro, Nareswar Goyari and Sylvester Kujur, natives of Baksa district. Police sent the horn to the state forensic laboratory in Guwahati.

People of Bajali are facing serious problems due to deplorable conditions of the roads. Roads connecting Pathsala Railway station to National Highway and from Titka, Pathla, Lasit nagar, Seuj Nagar, Santipur to Joytinagar in the heart of Pathsala town along with Muguria, Nitananda, Rampur, Haripur etc. hve never been repaired in the last several years. The body of CRPF jawan Balen Harizon (28) who was killed in Maoist's attack in Jarkhand reached his birthplace in Bajali on Sunday. The last rites were performed in presence of thousands of people. Harizon was killed in an encounter with Maoists in the jungles of Patharchhapra in Giridih district, Jharkhand on Friday. Harizon, son of Roghunath Harizon and Maloti Harizon of Gargaon in Bajali, is survived by his wife Barnali Harizon and son.
