Computer centre sealed, Ashok Stambha anomalies
Kokrajhar district administration sealed the Amtron computer centre run under BCF College in the heart of Kokrajhar town for allegedly use of Ashok Stambha symbol as well government of Assam logo at a private institution.
A private institution named Bright Career Foundation (BCF) College, owned by Abdul Khaleque Ahmed hailed from Bilasipara of Dhubri district, situated at Brahma Complex along the RNB Road in Kokrajhar town has been using the Ashok Stambha symbol and Govt. of Assam logo since a long time to attract students and common publics to gain his commercial purposes. The college having a franchise under AMTRON to giving short and long term computer courses to the students in the area.
A section of conscious citizen and students file complaint to Deputy Commissioner and police about the illegally indulging of Ashok Stambha symbol at a private institution, which is totally anti-procedure for the country. It is alleged that the owner the institution has been used the Ashok Stambha only to attract student and common publics to earning money through focusing governmental symbol, stated a complaint letter submitted to DC on Saturday. But interestingly, the private institute owner erased some section of Ashok Stambha used with institute’s nomenclature just after hearing of complain book in the
institute complex.
Neejam Hussain, complainer said that the BCF College, a private which is owned Abdul Khaleque Ahmed has been using Ashok Stambha symbol and Govt. of Assam logo in his institution illegally since long time. He alleged that the college used the government symbol only to attract student and masses to serve his profession purposes.
‘A private college or institution could not be used government symbol,it is totally violation of governmental status’,Hussain said. He has demanded district administration and government should take stern action against him.
AK Brahma, a conscious citizen said that the BCF College is a fake college, owned by Ahmed, and has been running the private to cheating the common public. He also demanded an inquiry should be carried against the owner of the institution.
Madhav Prasad Sarma, Deputy Commissioner, Kokrajhar said that the institution has been sealed this evening which has illegally indulged government symbol, besides investigation is on into complaint.
‘District administration initiated strong step against him because no any private institute can use Ashok Stambha’, said Sarma.
