Teachers’ conference in Kokrajhar

The 49th biennial conference of Assam Madhyamik aru Karmachari Santha, the apex teachers' organisation in Assam begins at from Wednesday with three days colorful programme scheduled Kokrajhar District Sports Association (KDSA) stadium in Kokrajhar.

Over 1200 delegate and members from 33 district committees of the santha are participating the conference where issues related to the association will be discussed and resolution likely to be adopted.

BTC deputy chief Kampa Borgoyary will grace the open session on the concluding day as chief guest.

Director of secondary education Assam Babulal Sarma, Vice Chancellor of Bodoland University Prof. Hemanta Kumar Baruah, Kokrajhar DC Madhav Prasad Sarma, MLA Kokrajhar east Pramila Rani Brahma will attend the function as guests.

A souvenir 'Baukhungri will also be brought out on the occasion by the Reception Committee which will be unveil by Padmashri Kameswar Brahma, president of Bodo Sahitya Sabha on the second day .

KOKRAJHAR: Goreswar Town Football Club of Baksa beat Udalguri's Bhergaon Football Club 4-0 goals to lift the trophy in the final match of the BTAD-Army football premier league-2019 held at Kokrajhar Govt HS & MP School playground, Kokrajhar on Sunday. KOKRAJHAR: An eight-member delegation of  a special review committee on detention center, led by chairman Debojit Mukherjee visited the detention center in Kokrajhar on Tuesday. The delegation members include Debojit Mukherjee, deputy inspector of police (Border) and chairman of the committee, district judge (retired) H Singh, IGP of Prisons Barnali Sharma, D Saikia, AIG of Prisons and several senior police officials. KOKRAJHAR: Indonesian paragliders have won first prizes in the first-ever Bodoland international Paragliding accuracy championship-2019. The event concluded on Thursday after four day programme at Dangdupur Hill in Kokrajhar district. 68 participants from 11 countries participated in the championship and displayed their paragliding skills. 22 foreign paragliders participanted in the event.
