Teachers teaching without salary

The life of 4000 TET teachers appointed by BTC Chief Hagrama Mahillary on February 10, 2015 have totally been paralysed. The teachers who were promised of Rs.8000 per month have been deprived of their due rights for the last one year. In other words the ruling BPF government have betrayed the people by assurin high promises and utopian dream of model BTC. The suicide of mentally depressed TET teacher Basudev Sarkar serving at Masugaon L.P school of Baksa district on May 1 last . In this regard a press release was issued by the Nabajyoti Baruah President contractual TET Teachers Association Udalguri who were recruited along with the 4000 teachers last year. The teachers association has demanded that the kind of the deceased teacher should be payed a compensation of five lakhs of rupees and also release the pending salaries of teachers at the earliest. They have also threatened of mass agitation if their demands are not addressed.
