Ashinta Basunatary's body, a college student, who went missing was recovered from Badrampur jungle, on the other hand a man was brutally killed by unidentified miscreants at Padmabil area under Serfanguri PS in Kokrajhar district today.
Ashinta Basumatary was allegedly missing from his East Maligaon village since April 22 and his body was recovered from deep jungle nearby Badrampur village after arrested involved persons confessed about situation. Body was recovered on buried condition in the presence of magistrate and police officials.
Three persons were arrested in this connection on April 28 after Ashinta’s mother Gaijrai Basumatary, who was allegedly suspected of witch in her village.
Police administration able to recover body of Ashinta, a BA 4 semester student at UN Brahma College, Kajalgaon in Chirang district after three day’s search of the body in the East Maligaon under Bishmuri police outpost in Kokrajhar district.
‘We have recovered body of Ashinta on the revelation of accused arrested persons from the deep jungle area’, said P Medhi, DSP Kokrajhar.
Meanwhile, miscreants brutally killed a person identified as Bishnu Boro, 42 at Padmabil village under Serfanguri PS on the day broad light.
According to police, some unknown miscreants killed the man with stones figuring to death in the village on the day broad light.
‘Investigation is on into incident’, said a senior police officer.
BTC MCLA Jyotirindra Brahma and several social organization condemned the killing and demanded stern action against involved culprits.
