Aids and appliances distributed in Kokrajhar
Altogether 78 aids and appliances were distributed among differently abled persons at a programme held at Choto Molandubi in Kokrajhar district on Friday.
The aids and appliances, included wheel chair,tricycle,hearing aid,hand crutch were sponsored from Alimco Kanpur and was organized by All BTAD Disabled welfare development NGO.
Satyaban Brahma,district social welfare officer,Kokrajhar,Ashim Kumar,Alimco official,Nandalal Choudhury,director of the NGO graced as guests and distributed the waids and appliences among differently abled persons from four districts of region.
Choudhury said that the aids and appilences giving from the Alimco would be helpful for needed persons in their leading life.He has urged the government to make proper facility and arrangement for differently abled persons so that they can also lead a healthy life among society.
‘It was a good initiative taking from Alimco and NGO while facilitating aids and appliences in the region’,said a beneficiary on the day.

KOKRAJHAR: Citizens in Lower Assam districts including Bodoland Territorial Council have expressed happiness and gladness having found resumed of internet services today after eight days blockade.
The internet service was found resumed at 9 am that saw smilling and happiness environment amongst the citizens in the region.
Earlier, BTC region was made exempted from the disruption of net services from state government on December 10.
However, all kinds of internet services were made disrupted all over the state on December 12 to keep the strong mass protest against the controversial citizenship (amendement) act.

Activists and members from All Assam Nath Yogi Students Union carried out a protest demonstration along the JD Road near District Computer centre in Kokrajhar against the CAB bill and burnt effigies of Sonowal and Sarma. The protestors staged protest demonstration with shouting slogans demanding early withdrawal of the bill.

A day-long workshop on journalism was held at Bodofa House, Baganshali in Kokrajhar on Wednesday. Young journalists from different six districts of the state- Sonitpur, Dhemaji, Udalguri, Baksa, Chirang and Kokrajhar participated the workshop.
