Workshop on Disaster Management at Tangla College

A  workshop cum training programme on disaster management was held at the conference hall of Tangla College on Tuesday. The workshop organized by Disaster Management and Environment awareness cell IQAC Tangla College was aimed at preparing students with better techniques as to tackle natural disasters and man made disasters as to minimize the loss of valuable human lives. The programme was inaugarated by Arupa Patangia Kalita,Sahitya Akademi awardee and HOD Dept.of English,Tangla College. A keynote on Disaster management was also delivered by the Sahitya Akademi Awardee.

Dr. Prasen Daimari Principal of the college presided over the programme. Darrang District Disaster Management Project officer  Jagadish Bhattacharyya , Pankaj Hazarika I/C Dy.Controller Civil Defense Darrang Palash Baruah and two of his associate attended the programme as resource person. The programme was largely attented by near about 200 students of Tangla College and Arunodoi Jr. College,Tangla. The vote of thanks was delivered by Ghanakanta Hazarika Prof. Dept. of Economics.
