Seminar oh Human values held at Khoirabari

A national level seminar on Human values and creative literature was held at Khoirabari College on Saturday with day long programme. The event was organized by Assamese department of Khoirabari College supported by University Grants Commission.A total of 97 participants,mostly college teachers and research students from various places took part in the seminar on the sub-themes- Human values in the works of Sankardeva, Human values in pre-independence literature, Human values in post independence literature and Human values and contemporary society. Dr. Nabin Sarma, former professor of Guwahati University formally inaugurated the seminar which was conducted by coordinator Karuna Kanta Deka. Dr. Umesh Deka, Dean of Guwahati University, Hiran Deka, Principal, Khoirabari College also spoke on the occasion while Maheswar Boro, ex-MLA of Kalaigaon attended as invited guest. Participants from various colleges namely-Tangla, Udalguri, Khoirabari, Deomornoi, Mazbat Goreswar, Vidya Bharati etc took part in the discussion.
