NDFB-S cadre arrested

Security forces belonging to police and army, in a joint operation arrested a cadre of National Democratic Front of Boroland-Songbijit faction from Mainaguri area on Tuesday under Kachugaon PS in Kokrajhar district. The cadre was identified as Bipul Mushahary alias Bigrai Mushahary, 31, of Mohendrapur, was trained in 2011. He was involved with extortion, money collection, kidnapping, arms peddling and providing logistic supports to banned terrorist organizations. A country made pistol and two bullet was recovered from him.

KOKRAJHAR: Four  cadres of National Democratic Front of Boroland-Saoraigwra faction(NDFB-S) were apprehended by security forces at Suwagpur near Goreswar in Baksa district on Thursday. KOKRAJHAR: National Wushu gold medalist Sanma Brahma of Kokrajhar district has been facing financial hardships. A 21-year-old, Sanma Brahma of Haloadol village of Assam's Kokrajhar district is participating the 15th World Wushu Championship-2019 to be held in Shanghai of China country. Marathon race organised in Durga Puja celebration

A marathon competition was orgaised to create awareness on anti-social activities like crimes against women along with Durga Puja celebration at Salakati in Kokrajhar district on Saturday. Hundreds of participants from different places from greater Salakati area participated the marathon race which started from Station Road, Salakati and concluded at the same point completing of 8 kms distance. Road safety awareness progrrame held in Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR: A road safety awareness proramme was held in Kokrajhar district on Thursday by district transport office (DTO), Kokrajhar to create awareness on accident and traffic control in the district. Students from the different colleges participated at the programme. As per official records of the DTO Kokrajhar, there were 148 cases of accidents reported and 69 persons dead in Kokrajhar district in 2018 itself. DTO Kokrajhar Dhajen Basumatary said that the progremme was organised out to create awareness and alertness among the young generation.
