The Bodoland Regional Apex Weavers & Artisans Co-operative Federation (BRAWFED) has been awarded Eatern Region Export Execellence award 2013-14 silver trophy, constituted by Federation of Indian Export Organisations (Ministry of Commerce, Govt of India), Kolkata for performing one of the best manufacturer exporters from north eastern region on hand-woven textiles and handicrafts.
Speaking the reporters on Sunday at BRAWFED office, NN Ranapatgiri, Managing Director of the BRAWFEd told that the federation has been awarded the execellence award for working and producing best manfacturer on hand woven textiles and handicrafts Rs.3.26 crores with a growth of 9.03% to African countries,ASEAN +2, SAARC countries and other countries during 2013-14. The NNRAWFEd will be receiving the wrad on April 28 at Ballroom, Oberoi Grand, Kolkata from Keshari Nath Tripathy,Governor of West Bengal. It was a good acchievement for the federation to receive an award from the ministry of Commerce,govt of India, Ranapatgiri said.
