One died in Sarbhog

In a poll related incident at Safakamar  LP School (no. 94 polling station), Sarbhog, one old man named Abdul Rashid (80) died  and three others injured including two CRPF jawans. The incident happened after a clash between the voters and CRPF jawans in front of Safakamar LP School. Police laathicharged the gathering crowd in which the old man got hurt and died at Barpeta Medical college. On the other hand the enraged mob pelted stones at the CRPF troupe and resulting injury of two jawans. Polling had to stop for some time during the incident.

Barpeta Deputy Commissioner Ashwini Kumar rushed to the spot and ordered a magisterial enquiry.
