SUCI campaigns in Panery LAC

SUCI (Communist) candidate for  Panery LAC Swarnalata Chaliha have taken up roadside campaigns at Tangla and nearby places under Panery constituency. People generally have the impression that independents, contestants from major and less recognised parties that have no base here will contest the election either only for the name sake or due to technical reasons of keeping their parties’ recognition as national parties and that they do not take up any canvassing.

However, contestants from parties like the Socialist Unity Centre of India (SUCI) are proving such an impression only as a misgiving by taking up canvassing as seriously as major parties does, albeit without much fanfare, noise and spending money.

The party has all the publicity material like posters and pamphlets and a small group led by the candidates go round localities every day seeking votes from the people by explaining party policies to the people. In fact, they are as sincere as the candidates of major parties going all out for a win, but with a difference.

Take the case of SUCI (Communist) candidate for 64 No. Panery LAC Comrade Swarnalata Chaliha have taken up roadside campaigns. Accompanied by a few of her party comrades she painstakingly goes round door-to-door in selected localities every day and seeks votes for her after explaining the policies of her party.

Speaking to voters in T.B Road,M.B Road and other localities here on Friday she alleged that 61 years of independence had failed to control poverty, price rise, unemployment, corruption and atrocities on women in the country, as the successive governments had been following capitalist policies.
