After successful screening in different cities of India, popular Tangkhul Facebook group "I-Hao" is gearing to roll out red carpet for the Tangkhul digital film "Kha Yurna Mataimei" during its upcoming premier show to be held at Ukhrul Town Hall on April 1 and 2.
To be hosted by I-Hao group at 5:30 pm on April 1-2 at Ukhrul Town Hall, the show will have Khashim Ruivah chairman KVS Group Ukhrul as special guest and is expected to draw a huge crowd if the public response to its similar premiere shows held recently at India's big cities like Delhi, Mumbai and Bangaluru is any indication, said Ramnganing Ruivah, director of Meiphung Production under whose banner the film is made.
Addressing a news conference at Sam Hotel on Monday, he said that the event organizers will roll a red carpet to welcome all members of the cast, and will also open a box office at the show premise.
The film that has been creating unprecedented acclaim with its state of the art picturization and gripping plot about romance and patriotism among the young and old alike was premiered at Shah Auditorium Delhi, Indian Airline Conference Hall Mumbai and Tagore Hall UTC Bangaluru on 12, 15 and 17 March last drawing almost 1000 Tangkhul and other Indian viewers to each screening, an enthusiastic Ruivah stated.
Tangkhul bigwigs Leishiyo Keishing, Ms Awon Keishing and Rev Khayaipam Khamrang pastor TBC Bangaluru attended the premier shows as special guests.
As part of the upcoming show at hometown, Lifetime Achievement Award will be conferred upon one male and one female veteran Tangkhul artiste in recognition of their works, and all Tangkhul film directors will be invited, apart from interactive session with members of the cast, said Riyo Varam director of the film while adding that the next venture of the Meiphung Production is likely to start in November.
