UPP-Congress alliance would form govt: Promod Boro

With just few days left to the scheduled assembly election across the state, the campaigning for the candidates from different parties and organsations in support of their nominees have been seen busy and reached at peak to the common citizens in the state.

The United Peoples’ Party (UPP) also strengthens its campaign for their party candidates,who has been contsetsing in 13 seats across the BTAD region of lower Assam districts.

ABSU president  Promod Boro campaigned for the UPP candidate Pratibha Brahma for Kokrajhar east LAC at Jharbari and Patgaon in Kokrajhar district on Wednesday.

Boro adddressed the well attended campaigning said that the UPP party was working to the all round welfare as well social integration in the region since its inception. He has alleged that the ruling BPF party has failed to meet up people’s aspiration and welfare of the common citizens in its decade long reigned in the region.He said that UPP party has been contesting in large number of seats from where they would be won in all seats and government would be formed by UPP with alliance Congress party at the Dispur.

Boro also claimed that no any situation can stop while forming alliance government at Dispur in between UPP and Congress in the state as irrespective caste,creed,language and communities are supporting party nominees.He has promised of that if UPP voted in power,they would involved for working human resource development as well building integrated society in the days to coming,besides elected MLAs be close contact with common citizens.

Boro has urged the common voters and citizens to vote for the UPP party candidate to bring as well as gaining of social change and good governance.

Pratibha Brahma,UPP candidate for Kokrajhar east addressing the campaign said that she has been constetsting from the constituency to gain peoples’ integration and sustaining of development among all sections of communities.She has promised of bringing development and fulfilment of peoples’ aspirations if she voted to elected in the election.

B Sudem, chief of  Army NDFB(P),Raimon Brahma,Kokrajhar district UPP were among others prominent attendees in the campaigning.

The re-polling to the No.24 polling station at Kachugaon LP school(right side) under 28-Gosaigaon LAC in Kokrajhar district has not been scheduled yet,but expecting that it would be held after Bihu. The re-polling was necesiated following EVM anomaly on the final phase of assembly polls held on Monday.The re-polling is likely to be scheduled on April 17 or 18 after Bihu in the district,said an election officer in Kokrajhar.
