Webcasting proceedings for poll

As instructed by the ECI, the Chirang Election District has arranged for webcasting the proceedings of poll at 10 polling stations under 31-Sidli(ST) LAC in the upcoming assembly election. The names  of indentified polling stations with technical feasibilities, availability of infrastructures and  3G network for webcasting are Basugaon HS School (South), Basugaon HS School (Middle), Basugaon HS School (North), Basugaon Town JB School (East), Basugaon Town JB School (West), East Chatiborgaon LP School (R. No. 2), Chatipur ME School, Chatiborgaon ME School and Kashikotra HS School. 


In this connection, the Chirang  DC and DEO Rupak Kumar Mazumder has informed that for coordinating the webcasting proceedings during the poll day an overall coordinator will be engaged and he would arrange for pre- test for webcasting from all those polling stations prior to the actual poll day.He further informed that the webcasting would practically start with the commencement of Mock Poll and would be available on the www.chirang.gov.in/webcast2016.html


On the other hand, considering the expenditure sensitive of 31-Sidli (ST) LAC under Chirang Election District 2 Village Level Awareness Group (VLAG)s have been formed to carry out awareness of ethical voting among the voters and discouraging the use of bribe such as money and liqour for influence the illiterate and poor voters. A wide awareness campaign is being carried out in the expenditure sensitive pockets to senditize the voters on ethical voting. The 2 VLAGs are bring headed by BEEO Jyotish Sarma and EO (C) Mahendra Sutradhar.
