The Joint conference of the 16th bi-ennial Conference of All Rabha Students Union,11th Bi-ennial Conference of All Rabha National Council and 70th Bi-ennial conference of All Rabha Women's council concluded here today. The three day long conference was held at Khoirabari Girls High School playground.In the final day a cultural procession was taken out throughout Khoirabari town which was inaugurated by Jagadish Sarkar EM BTC.The open session was presided over by Prafulla Kanting President ARSU Udalguri district committee.Khampa Borgayari Deputy Chief BTC attended the programme as Chief Guest. Speaking on the ocassion Borgayari urged all the Rabha people to vote for BPF in the upcoming assembly election. A memorandum was also submitted to Borgayari by the members of the student body. Biswajit Daimari Rajya Sabha MP from state also attended the meeting as guest of honour. Earlier on March 19 a souvenir “Buburenga” was also released by Dr.Pabitra Sarma HOD Dept.of Histor,Khoirabari College. Ravi Rabha President All Rabha National Council, West Bengal was also present in the conference. Journalist Rajdeep Boilung Baruah of the Pratidin-Time, Kamali Rani Basumatari MLA Panery LAC , Maheswar Boro ex- MLA from Kalaigaon LAC,Raj Kumar Rabha were present as special guests in the meeting.
Udalguri, Jan 31: Tangla College, a beacon of higher education in Udalguri and the erstwhile Darrang district, is set to celebrate its Golden Jubilee with a grand six-day event from February 1 to 6. Established in 1970, the college has played a pivotal role in shaping generations of students across disciplines, including Arts, Commerce, Science, and Computer Science (BCA).
The celebration will feature an open session graced by Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, Assam Legislative Assembly Speaker and Paneri MLA Biswajit Daimari, BTC Chief Executive Member Promod Boro, and Cabinet Ministers Dr. Ranoj Pegu and Pijush Hazarika, among other dignitaries.
