Sankardev Sishu Niketan of Jamugurihat had organsied a career planning workshop its students on 14th march. The objective of the workshop was to provide information on various career options and opportunities, importance of career planning, importance of different skills. Inaugurating the workshop, Gouri Hazarika , Headmistress of schools told te students the importance of career and how one need to have a vibrant career developing the society . She also mentioned that students must chose and plan right career on right time to become responsible citizen and successful person in life. This workshop was moderated by Ranjan K Baruah of North East Youth Foundation and he focused on different aspects of career planning and how one can plan for the right career. He had also mentioned about the importance of different skills like life skills and others to become confident and successful in life. There was group discussion and presentation by the students. The workshop had also session for teachers and guardians of the students. There was interaction with parents, guardians and teachers apart from students. Some of the students who had appeared in the high school leaving certificate examination also attended the workshop. Established in the year 1989 Sankardev Sishu Niketan is one of the premier institute of Jamugurihat area.
