RMC on crack over party supports

Cracks appeared in the Religious Minority Council(RMC),BTC region over the issue of supporting to the Bodoland Peoples Front(BPF) party in the ensuing Assam assembly election.The rift appeared in the council after president Sohrab Khan announced openly that RMC leaves to support the BPF party in the election.

Speaking the reporters on Friday at Kokrajhar Press Club,Rijaul Haque Sarkar,general secretary of the RMC told that the council has not been left the BPF party.We are still with BPF party,who was working all round development and welfare of the region.The reaction come after the Khan addressed the reporters at Kajalgaon in Chirang district on Thursday that RMC announced to leave the ruling party ahead assembly election. Sarkar has denied the statement of Sohrab said that it was his personal view, not of council decision to leave the ruling party in the region.

‘We have no any decision to leave the ruling BPF party at this juncture’,Sarkar adding said that the council still good term with the party and no any decision to step against ruling party. He has accused of that Khan has been maintaining link with Congress to gain his personal benefit that is why he is stating baseless remarks over the RMC in the region.

He has claimed that the RMC has not cracked within organisation,but Khan he hilself making baseless statement to show his personal interest. He also told that the RMC has been scheduled to hold central executive meeting on March 13 at Magurmari in Kokrajhar district and committee would discuss thoroughly over the present situation within organisation. Delegates from ten district committees are participating in the meeting and would discuss on the arisen situation within organisation.The council is likely replace president Khan for his unwanted remarks over supporting political party in the upcoming election.

Despite tight security gun running refuses to die down in Kokrajhar district. Unidentified miscreant shot at yet another person in the district on Friday. The incident took place at Baldiabatan where miscreants shot at a daily wage earner in the afternoon.Identified as Prahald Sarkar, the deceased hailed from Galakganj of Dhubri district who was engaged at a construction site in Baldiabatan.A group of four miscreants started indiscriminate firing as he was standing on the road.  A seriously injury Sarkar was rushed to the Rup Nath Brahma Civil Hospital where two bullets were recovered from his legs. Police operation is going on to nab the miscreants involved in the incident. 
Properties worth lakhs of rupees have been reduced to ashes when a tent house caught fire in Kokrajhar on Thursday.The incident took place at the Subashpally-based Subdev Tent House area at night. Fire tenders were pressed into service to bring the blaze under control. But by then, the fire has engulfed the entire house ravaging the properties worth several lakhs.Talking to Assam Times, police officials said that the reason was yet to be ascertain. But the local residents and the owner have blamed fire crackers.
One person died and atleast15 others have taken ill after they consumed food served at a wedding party in Kokrajhar district on Wednesday.According to information, Sainudding Sheik from Bhawraguri Usatari village in Gossagaon along with around 20 other people started vomiting and complaint stomach ache hours after they consumed food at the wedding ceremony at Chitila Depdevi village near Fakiragram.Sheik died in the afternoon at the Rupnath Brahma Civil Hospital a day after he was rushed to it. Others with the same complaint have been undergoing treatment at the same hospital. Five of the seriously ill persons have been shifted to Alipurduar hospital for better treatment.

Another person sustained bullet injury in the shoot out at Kamalachara Patalpuri area in the afternoon. According to information, acting on a tip off police and CRPF launched a joint operation in the area in the afternoon where initially the armed men targeted the security forces. Sensation is simmering in Bijni town after suspected NDFB-S militants kidnapped a higher secondary student forcing the security forces to launch rescue operation in the area on two days back.Identified as Mantu Roy, the Class XII student went missing from the town on Friday after he left for the Lakhmi mela at Bijni.
