RMC on crack over party supports

Cracks appeared in the Religious Minority Council(RMC),BTC region over the issue of supporting to the Bodoland Peoples Front(BPF) party in the ensuing Assam assembly election.The rift appeared in the council after president Sohrab Khan announced openly that RMC leaves to support the BPF party in the election.

Speaking the reporters on Friday at Kokrajhar Press Club,Rijaul Haque Sarkar,general secretary of the RMC told that the council has not been left the BPF party.We are still with BPF party,who was working all round development and welfare of the region.The reaction come after the Khan addressed the reporters at Kajalgaon in Chirang district on Thursday that RMC announced to leave the ruling party ahead assembly election. Sarkar has denied the statement of Sohrab said that it was his personal view, not of council decision to leave the ruling party in the region.

‘We have no any decision to leave the ruling BPF party at this juncture’,Sarkar adding said that the council still good term with the party and no any decision to step against ruling party. He has accused of that Khan has been maintaining link with Congress to gain his personal benefit that is why he is stating baseless remarks over the RMC in the region.

He has claimed that the RMC has not cracked within organisation,but Khan he hilself making baseless statement to show his personal interest. He also told that the RMC has been scheduled to hold central executive meeting on March 13 at Magurmari in Kokrajhar district and committee would discuss thoroughly over the present situation within organisation. Delegates from ten district committees are participating in the meeting and would discuss on the arisen situation within organisation.The council is likely replace president Khan for his unwanted remarks over supporting political party in the upcoming election.

The Assam State Electricity Board (ASEB) beat South Eastern Railway from Jharkhand 6-0 in the Daoharu Mungklong Trophy at Dotma DASA ground in Monday’s match in Kokrajhar. For ASEB, Biplob Kundu scored first goal 12 minutes, Rahul Das in 28 minutes, Sonatumba Sarma in 36 minutes, Apurba Phukon in 42 minutes, Diphu Mirdha in 62 minutes and Dwimalu Brahma scored goal in 69 minutes and led the team to win 6-0 goals. Bongaigaon XI Star Club will take on Kashibari Youth Club on Tuesday in second quarter final.

Two persons died when a moving truck rammed into a bike in which they were riding in Kokrajhar district on Sunday. The tragic incident took place in the afternoon when Bhanudev Basumatary and Harkeswar Roy were travelling to Patgaon from Ramfalbikk on the National Highway. Suddenly, the truck which was coming from the same direction rammed into the bikers leaving them died on the spot.        
Dreaded NDFB-S militant B Bidai was believed to have a narrow escape when security forces raided a remote village in Chirang district on Sunday.Acting on a tip off, police and CRPF jawans conducted a raid in Amlaigur village in the BTAD district where a fierce gun battle took place in the wee hours. A linkman is said to have been killed in the encounter where the most wanted militant managed to disappear from the spot. Security forces have been cordoning off the entire are in search of the fatal militant. Police claimed to have seized some arms and ammunition from the spot.   
BPF supremo Hagrama Mohilary on Saturday openly and closely talked to the partymen at the grassroot level in two places in BTAD areas and asked them to strengthen the party ahead of the Assam Assembly elections early next year.Mohilary, on Saturday hold party meeting with primary member and party workers from grassroots at Aflagaon, Diplai in Banargaon and Bhaukungri blocks and closely listened to them about the problems. Finally, Proneeta Swargiyary clinched the DID Season 5 title by the Zee TV fetching no less pride and glory for the north eastern region. Proneeta, a school girl hailing from Baska district of Assam was adjudged the best one on Friday in Mumbai. Kashibari Youth Club from Udalguri beat DASA XI from Dotma 6-2 in Friday’s match of Daoharu Mungklong Trophy at Dotma DASA ground in Kokrajhar. For DASA XI, Arpon Basumatary netted the first goal in 21 minutes against Kashibari. For Kashibari, Arindom Dev scored first goal in 29 minutes and Wine Daimary scored the second one goal in 36 minutes.
