Study tour for border youth
A flag-off ceremony of education study tour of border youth has been organised by 16th Bn SSB Ranighuli at thbattalion headquarter in Kokrajhar on Monday.
A total of eight youtgs which comprises of five girls and three boys were selected from the different locations of bordering area for educational excursion to Kolkata (West Bengal). The youths students will visit Botanical garden, Eden garden, victoria memorial palace, Indian museum at Kolkata, science city Kolkata zoo and many more places till March 10.
Madhav Prasad Sharma,Deputy Commissioner, Kokrajhar graced as chief guest and flagged off the tour. During the programme a colorful song and cultural activities was performed by the troops of the 16th Bn. A encouragement speech for the youths of study tour has been delivered by Amit Kumar, DIG,SHQ,SSB, Kokrajhar.
Sports items were also distributed to the Mathupara Sudum club in order to up-bring the interest of sports among the youths.
