The Bodoland Chah Mazdoor Union has extended its support to BJP for the coming assembly election.In a statement, the Bodoland Chah Mazdoor Union stated that they had a talk with the BJP Asom Pradesh Chah Morcha president Sanjay Kisan and general secretary Dulen Nayak on the issues of tea garden labourers and Adivasis under the BTADarea. Expressing their confidence on BJP State president Sarbananda Sonowal, they decided to support the BJP. The Bodoland Chah Mazdoor Union had exclusively discussed on the issues of education, economy, employment of jobless youths of the Adivasicommunity and issue of land pattas to the Adivasi villagers. The 42 tea garden labourers and Adivasi villagers of the BTAD region have decided to cast their votes for the BJP candidates for the solution of their age-old problems, said Gurucharan Tanti, the president, and Sanjay Savanasi, the general secretary of Bodoland Chah Mazdoor Union.The Chah Mazdoor leaders also favoured the candidature of Bikrom Sing Basumatary for 70 No Majbat constituency. They appealed to the BJP leadership to give him party ticket.
