Humiliated budget for BTC: UG Brahma
Former Rajya Sabha MP and president of United Peoples Party (UPP) termed that 100 crore package to Bodoland Territorial Council in the union budget which was presented on Monday was humiliating and insulting for people of BTC in Assam.
Brahma said, ‘100 crore package allotted from union budget is humiliating and insulting for people of BTC. As chief of BTC Hagrama Mohilary had been claimed that Rs.1000 crores would be sanctioned to BTC in the union budget’. He has alleged that Bodoland Peoples Front (BPF) was trying to woo votes by making such false promises that centre would be giving more central packages to gain development in the region. Now, it has been proved to be a totally decievious and misleading campaign only. The union budget which was presented by Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitly was totally failed to address the issue and grievances of tribal people of Assam.
