Mission better Bodoland council MoU signed

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on the Mission Better Bodoland Council in between department of Education, BTC and Institute of Cost Accountants of India (Statutory body under an Act of Parliament) to making Bodoland Territorial Council a better region in the country.

The MoU signed was took place at Directorate office of Education department in Kokrajhar today which is a project undertaken to achieve new heights for BTC in the field of education in the rural areas and urban slums of the council region with a special focus on SC/ST/OBC and minority students from economically weaker sections of the society. The project has been representing a revolution in the field of early childhood education and women’s students through modern teaching strategies.

The mission will be covered up of 10,000 students in its first phase for pursuing CAT course and another 10,000 students also be given CAT course during the second phase under Pradhan Mantri Kausal Bikash Programme which would be completed by March 2020.The first phase mission activity would be completed by March 2017 beginning from today in the council region.

Signing the MoU, Shankar Majumder,Co-ordintaor of ICAI,New Delhi said that the mission has been exposing children to the possibilities of their lives, but the children themselves must direct their responses to those possibilities. He said that making of full advantage of the self motivation and unique ability of young students to develop their own capabilities, besides developing the sense of preserving the cultural knowledge, to promote the sense of feelings of national integrity, organizing awareness programmes on educational development, more particularly cost and management accountancy. ‘Ensuring of efficient use of human resource and curb its wastage however small they may be’, he said adding that providing the students all benefits of modern urbanization and thus give them a common platform for nationwide networks.

He also told that the mission has been carried out under the umbrella mission for better North Eastern region through which good sustain of educational growth has been expecting. The ICAI has 400 centres with 95 Chapter all over the country, of which Assam has 2 Chapter-Guwahati and Silchar to run the mission to the smooth functioning, Majumder added.

Rabishankhor Borgoyary, BTC education director told that it is a noble initiative to make BTC better growth in education through involving social upliftment in the region. The mission would create awareness and promoting cost and management accounting education so as to motivate the students to participate in sustainable and inclusive growth and development of the economy, besides giving employment opportunities among common masses.

As many as 13 fishermen were arrested by Bhutan Royal Army on Tuesday inside deep jungle of Sarpang district of Bhutan while going illegally into the neighboring country.
