NDFB-S link man held

 A link man of NDFB-Songbijit faction was arrested by security forces belonging to police and army from Saraibil under Gossaigaon police station on Thursday in Kokrajhar district. 

Getting input about working of link man in the area, a joint team of security forces launched operation and managed to arrest the link man. He was identified as Rana Narzary of Nachraibil. He was involved with money collection, extortion, providing administrative support and information about movement of security forces to militant outfit organization. 

A pistol, two live ammunition was recovered from him.

In a fierce gun battle, a hardcore NDFB (S) cadre was killed at Auzar Guri under Serfanguri Police Station in Kokrajhar district today. A man was run over by train at West point of Kokrajhar railway station this noon in Kokrajhar. The body was run over by a down train this noon around 11.30 am which identified as Krishna Biswas(20) of  Magistrate Colony, ward no.9 in Kokrajhar town.Kokrajhar GRPF recovered the body in presence of magistrate and sent for postmortem,said a GRPF official.
