ABSU observes 49th Foundation Day

The All Bodo Students Union(ABSU) observed its 49th Foundation  Day with day-long programme scheduled at Nazirakhat Sonapur  on Monday in Kamrup Metro district.

The ABSU has declared it’s mission activites during the day observance which included Mission Bodoland,Mission Quality Education 2020,mission Master Race,Mission Total Revolution for Total Change and illegal Arms and Violence Feee Society.

An open discussion was also hold on the day with  Pramod Boro,president of the ABSU in the chair and Deben  Boro,former sports secretary of the ABSU inaugurated.

Kamala Kanta Mushahary,General Secretary of Bodo Sahitya Sabha,Dr Anil Kumar Boro,Associate Professor of Guwahati University were graced as appointed speakers during the occasion.

Dipangkar Nath,president of AASU,Seniram Malang,president of All Tiwa Students Union,Ratneswar Ronghang Karbi Students Union,Sanjoy Terong,president of Amri Karbi Students Union were prominent attendees on the day.

A multi cultural demonstartion was also organised where Tiwa,karbi,Garo,Mising,Rabha,Nepali,Jhumur,Bihu and Bodo dances presented to mark the observance.

Three people are believed to have been killed in the name of witch-hunting in Kokrajhar.The incident took place on Thursday in Mongoljhar where the three people including a woman have been remaining untraced for the last 48 hours.Acting on the complaints, police have picked up 11 villagers on Saturday morning.
