NDFB(S) cadre killed

Two hard core cadre of the National Democratic Front of Boroland-Songbijit faction (NDFB-S) were killed in an encounter with security forces on Sunday at North Auzarguri under Serfanguri police station in a joint operation launched by police and army in Kokrajhar district. 

Based on a tip-off about presence of militant outfits, security forces launched a joint operation against militant cadres where heavy exchange of fire was held and two cadres were killed on the spot by around 6 am in the morning. 

They were identified as Jwngswrang Basumatary alias Ladai and Sanjib Basumatary. Jwngswrang was involved with massacre of Adivashi of December 23(2014), besides involved with various anti social activities in the area. Both were Myanmar trained. 

Two 7.65 pistol, 2 Hand grenades, one magazine of AK 47, several round live ammunition were recovered from them.

Suspected NDFB-S militants killed to milkmen in Kokrajhar district a day before the third and final phase of the Lok Sabha polls on Thursday.The incident took place at 11 in the morning at Bhogjhora area near Kazigaon where the motorcycle born militants shot dead Sahadut Ali and Mizanur Rahman from a close range on the road.The milkmen duo who were distributing milk died on the spot.
