NDFB-S cadre arrested

Security forces of  army and police apprehended a self styled section commander  and hardcore  leader of the NDFB-S from Gorebil under Bishmuri  police out post in Kokrajhar district today.

Based on a specific information about presence of the militants in the area,a joint team of army and police launched  an operation  in Gorebil village where security forces able to apprehend the self styled section of commander of Jharbari section of the NDFB-S  from Gorebil in Kokrajhar.

The arrested was identified as Lothen Basumatary alias Birai(42) of Gorebil of Kokrajhar district.He was involved with various cases of money collection,extortion,kidnapping,recruiting and training of new cadres.He was also involved  in the massacre of Adivashis at Shantipur,Ultapani on December 23(2014).

A pistol,two live bullets recovered from  him.
