Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE) is organising a series of Stipendiary Training Programmes for unemployed youth belong to other backward class (OBC) community in Assam, Manipur and Tripura. The programmes are being supported by National Backward Classes Finance and Development Corporation (NBCFDC) and to be held in February and March this year. The objective of this programme is to promote economic and developmental activities for the benefit of backward classes and also to support the poorer section of this class in skill development and self employment ventures, IIE stated in a press release.
Under this programme, IIE is going to cover 800 youth in different trades such as floriculture & nursery management, food processing, bee-keeping, cosmetology & beautician, cane & bamboo works and house wiring cum electrician.
