Commissioner reviews PM visit preparation

Lower Assam Commissioner Mehtabuddin Ahmed visited Kokrajhar, heart of BTAD administration to take stock of preparation for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Kokrajhar visit on January 19.

Ahmed also held meeting with district administration, high security officials at DC office and discussed about hectic preparations to the PM visit scheduled. Security personels including police army, CRPF, paramilitary have been deployed in the programme venue at Bodofa Nwgwr,adjacent to BTC secretariat in Kokrajhar. 

Ahmed visited to the prigramme venue where PM will land by 10.35 AM in a special chopter, was accompanied LR Bishnoi, IGP (BTAD), Madhav Prasad Sarma, DC Kokrajhar, Shyamal Prasad Saikia, Kokrajhar SP.

 All kinds of preparations like construction of helipad, main dias, public pandal are going in full swing and expected the preparation would be handed over on January 18. 

Ahmed told that Kokrajhar is all set accord grand welcome PM Modi, who is visiting to address a public meeting. State government officials and he himself have been reviewed the preparation and necessary measures have been prepared for the function.The venue pandal was made  of capacity of 80 thousand to one lakh people's gathering, he said.He has also expressed his hope that PM Modi may have announced good gesture of development package during his Kokrajhar visit as he is scheduling to visit Lower Assam's Kokrajhar.
