NDFB (S) cadre arrested

At a time when Republic day is round the corner and security have been beefed up across the country. A team of Assam Police and Paramilitary forces nabbed a NDFB (S) cadre at Khoirbari on January 11 last. Police
also recovered a country made grenade from his possession. The cadre has been identified as Rituraj Basumatari (18) a resident of Paschim Patola under Khoirabari PS.

1 NDFB(S) cadre, 2 suspected linkman apprehended in Udalguri

UDALGURI: Based on specific input the security forces in a joint operation apprehended a NDFB (S) cadre from No. 2 Merabil area under Mazbat PS in Udalguri on Monday evening. The person has been identified as Geremsa Basumatary. The security forces also recovered one Indian grenade and one Chinese grenade from the farm land behind his house campus. Based on his confesions the security forces also apprehended  two of his accomplices from Mazbat railway station. Son hacks father to death in Udalguri

UDALGURI: A 30-year-old man allegedly hacked his father to death at their house in Barangabari near Dimakuchi in Udalguri district on Saturday night over a trivial dispute. The family members informed the police and handed over the accused.Reportedly, a heated argument ensued  between the deceased Byartha Kujur and accused Santosh Kujur.
