National Youth Day Observed in Udalguri

The Udalguri unit of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVPobserved the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda as National Youth Day in Udalguri with a day-long programme on January 12 last.The programme began with the hoisting of flag by Maihursha Boro, the president of ABVP Udalguri unit. A quiz competition was held among the participants from various schools of Udalguri and the first prize was lifted by the girls of Udalguri Girls HS School, the second prize went to Asboford Academy, Udalguri, and third prize to the students of Jawahar Navodaya  Vidyalaya, Udalguri. The winners were given trophy,certificates and cash amount.

The open session was presided by Maihursa Boro and conducted by Sanraja Muchahary, the president and general secretary of ABVP Udalguri unit respectively. Tarapati Upadhyaya, senior academician and litterateur, Rewati Raman Sapkota, senior scribe, Baidyanath Upadhyaya, senior scribe, and Lt. Manjot Singh of 168 field regiment (Longewala) delivered their speech on ‘Role of Youth in National Development’ during the session. A warm felicitation was also given to the Wushu players of Udalguri who earned fame as the second best team of the State in the 3rd State Games held in Silchar in the second week of January. The dance performances of the students of Fusion School of Dance, Udalguri enthralled the audience.

Students of Arunodoi Academy Tangla celebrated Children's day in a special way.
