The 12th South Asian Games to be held in Guwahati and Shillong from February 5th to February 16th is already creating vibes across the nation and the rave would escalate further during the 4th Metropolis - Urban Winter Festival, which begins on January 8, 2016.

As the city branding and promotional exercises are on full swing for the mega sporting event, Tikhor - the Games’ mascot - would be the key attraction for the entire promotional event of the South Asian Games during Metropolis.

A cute and an adorable one-horned rhino, Tikhor would be seen roaming around at the venues of Metropolis. They can also take part in the #SelfieWithTikhor, which was launched with much fanfare on the occasion of the launch of Volunteers Training Programme on January 6, 2016. Hon’ble Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports (I/C), Shri Sarbananda Sonowal kicked off the #SelfieWithTikhor campaign by clicking the first selfie with Tikhor on the occasion.

The denizens from age groups can take part in this campaign and post their selfies on various social networking sites, which would enhance people’s participation in the Games and add to the Games’ fun quotient.
