Even after being slammed, Arunachal Pradesh Governor JP Rajkhowa is unprepared to go with the Gauhati High Court judgment.
Rajkhowa who is arriving in New Delhi on Saturday, is busy in gathering required papers, obviously the certified copy of the judgment, from the court to challenge the Thursday's judgment stayed preponing the assembly session, impeaching the Speaker allegedly not taking the Chief Minister into confidence. According to a statement released from the Raj Bhawan, Rajkhowa is extremely surprised at the court judgment where a single bench can stay the proceedings.
But Rajkhowa has yet to clear whether he would file a review petition at the Gauhati High Court or challenge it before the Supreme Court.
In yet another development, Congress dissident leader Kalikho Pul has been camping in Guwahati to contemplate legal option to clear the hurdle. But the things are yet to get a final shape.
Taking up a petition by Nabam Rebia, a bench of Justice Hrishikesh Roy, stayed the Assembly session proceedings till February 1 next year.
