Gogoi staging dharna before Parliament
Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi is all prepared to stage dharna in front of Parliament on Wednesday alleging non receipt of central funds to the state.
Party MPs from both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha are also joining Gogoi at 11 in the morning. Senior Congress leaders told Assam Times that along with the Ex-Assam MPs, they want party president Sonia Gandhi to join the dharna.
Gogoi announced the dharna plan a couple of days back giving a deadline.
According to the Assam chief minister, the Centre has not received an estimated Rs 20,000 crore due to the State, including in oil royalty arrears.
