Romeo Neog, the name of a person from Assam seems to have taken the centre stage of political storm in Arunachal Pradesh.
But who is he? What is he? Where is the person? These are the questions that start dominating the political confabulations in the north eastern state in the time of an impending political crisis.
Rome's name figures at a complaint pending with the Itanagar police station. But he is not the target. The legal cell coordinator of the Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) Tadar Nanag in the complaint alleged that dissident leader Kalikho Pul has approached Neog for money to manage more Congress MLAs to revolt against the chief minister.
Nanag has enclosed the communication details of the former finance minister with Neog, who is an established businessman from Assam.
Nanag claimed to have more circumstantial evidence to substantiate his allegations against the former minister who has been leading the dissident camp. According to the complaint,"the sole motive of the conspiracy is to dislodge the present chief minister by creating law and order problem in the state."
