UPP to pitch candidates

The United Peoples Party(UPP), a regional party in BTAD has decided to pitch own candidates in all 17 seats all over the state including BTC region in the ensuing Assembly elections scheduled early next year.

Former Rajya Sabha MP and UPP president and Urkhao Gwra Brahma while speaking the reporters at a sideline of mass demonstration programme in Kokrajhar today said that his party will pitch own candidates without alliances with any party in all 17 constituencies including BTAD region LACs and some seats of the states in the elections. He told that his party has not come any alliance step so far with any party to contest the election.He has not ruled out any possibility of alliance with like minded parties ahead the elections said that if parties agreed to fulfill peoples’ issues and demands of the region,then alliances would be confirmed,he added.   

Brahma termed that BPF party will face set back of defeat in the election as peoples expressing insincerity and disregard towards BPF party.He alleged that BPF party has failed to provide good governance and fulfillment of expectations that promised in their ruling among citizens in the region.

He has expressed confidence that his party will score majority winning in the contested seats as citizens are wanting and supporting newly floated party. He has claimed that his party is a party for peoples welfare and peoples expectation in the state.
