Jumbos ransack walls at Tangla
A herd of 4 to 5 wild elephants damaged railway quarter walls and created a havoc in the entire Pujakhola Tiniali area in Tangla on Saturdy at about 1.55 am. The elephants also damaged sugarcane crops in nearby area. No loss of life have been reported.

TANGLA:Over loaded dumpers carrying construction materials, of late, have started unleashing a huge havoc on the Mangaldai-Bhutiachang SH-4 these days. A couple of lives has already lost. TANGLA: The teachers and students of Tangla College bad farewell to teacher Jayanta Kr. Chakravarty on his retirement on Wednesday. In his farewell address he advised the students to trace out the positive aspects and hone their skills theirby channelizing their mind to pursue subjects where one is passionate. UDALGURI: The Udalguri district committee of All Koch-Rajbongshi Students’ Union (AKRSU) is preparing to enforce a 24 hour long Udalguri district bandh on February 15 alleging failure of BTAD administration to keep its promises. Talking to reporters, Aranya Deka, A Saikia and B. Rajbongshi, alleged that despite full support to the ruling BPF in the last BTC elections, the BTC authority did not fulfill its assurance to construct a students’ hostel for the community at Udalguri and intentionally directed to construct it outside Udalguri town area.The decision was taken at a district unit meeting of AKRSU, where the leaders criticized the present role of the BTC authority in the region.
