Bodo litearay day observed in Bodoland University

A lecture on Dr Suniti Kumar Chatterji was organised on the occasion of Bodo Thunlai San(Bodo Literary Day) on 16th November(Monday) at Bodoland University ground in Kokrajhar.

The observation was jointly organised by Bodoland University and Kokrajhar Govt College to mark the Bodo Thunlai San with Dr Dinonath Basumatary in the chair.

Noted writer and Historian Hiracharan Narzinary,retired legal adviser to national housing board Bakul Chnadra Basumatary,Prithiraj Narayan Dev Mech presented papers on the occasion that Dr Chatterji contributed lots towards development of Bodo historical background through his writings.

Prof Hemanta Kumar Baruah,vice-chancellor of Bodoland Univerisity attending the occasion as distinguish guest said that Dr Chatterji was a writer who had authored many books relating Bodo kingdom and historical background in his books.He has lauded that organisers have organised a lecture on Dr Chatterji was a noble venture to honour him which has become a great job.

Dr Binay Kumar Brahma,principal of Kokrajhar Govt College,retired IRS Janaklal Basumatary was prominent attendies on the occasion.

Earlier on the day,Dr Shekar Brahma,registrar of Bodoland University hoisted sabha flag,Prof Hemanta Kumar Baruah,VC BU paid homage to martyrs,Pradip Narayan Dev paid homage to Maharaja Haoria Mech(Mondol),Prithiraj Narayan Dev Mech paid homage to Raja Shikra Mech,Bikramjit Choudhury paid homage to Prithuram Choudhury.
