National Press Day observed

Kokrajhar Press Club has also observed the National Press Day along with rest of the country here at club office premises in Kokrajhar today. 

The observation was organized by Kokrajhar Press Club in association with with BTC Information and Public Relations (IPR) department. 

Ajit Kumar Basumatary, president of the club hoisted club flag while Kishore Sarkar paid homage to journalist, who were sacrifice their lives for the caused of freedom of press and services. 

An open session was also organized on the day chaired by Ajit Basumatary, president of the club. 

Ansuma Mohilary, Kokrajhar DIPRO was prominent atttendies among others on the occasion.

Three people are believed to have been killed in the name of witch-hunting in Kokrajhar.The incident took place on Thursday in Mongoljhar where the three people including a woman have been remaining untraced for the last 48 hours.Acting on the complaints, police have picked up 11 villagers on Saturday morning.
