NDFB(S) killed

A hardcore cadre of NDFB(S) was killed in an encounter with security forces at Dwigudung area under Runikata PS in Chirang district on Saturday. The slain militant cadre was identified as Jaola, a wanted cadre of the security forces. 

The cadre was involved with carnage on Adivasi in December 23 last year 2014 in Kokrajhar district and NIA had lodged three cases on him. A 9 mm pistol, live ammunition recovered from him.

NDFB-S ultra held

Security forces apprehend a NDFB(S) cadre from Basabil area under Gossaigaon PS on Sunday in Kokrajhar district. Based on information about the presence of the militant outfit cadres in the area, a joint team of police and army launched an operation where a listed cadre of Gossaigaon platoon of the NDFB(S) was arrested along with arms. He was identified as Sanjay Narzary of Borsabil village. A pistol, two round ammunition was recovered from him.

The Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) has left three constituencies- Sorbhog, Rangia and Bhawanipur to the Bharatiya Janata party (BJP), its ally party.
