Hours after JD(U) and RJD took a huge lead in the Bihar assembly polls, Assam Chief minister Tarun Gogoi said that the Bihar verdict would help Congress win the next assembly polls with flying colours.
Talking to reporters in Guwahati, Gogoi said that the Bihar verdict is a victory for secular forces. The voters have, beyond doubt, proved that communal forces have no place in democracy.
He said that this time Congress tally would improve further. "Those who took advantage from me. They took my help for development now have been slamming me alleging backwardness," said Gogoi.
