NDFB-S ultras arrested

Security forces belonging to army and police have claimed ti apprehend four NDFB(S) militants from Daoraighabnai area under Runikhata police station in  Chirang district on Wednesday.

According to police sources, acting on a specific information, a joint team of police and army launched a joint operation in the area and managed to apprehend  the four militant cadres.

The apprehended militants were identified as Rajeev Basumatary alias Mwrgwng, allegedly involved in the attack on Adivasis in December 23 last and is named in the NIA case, Hitesh Narzary alias Gathiya,  Antho Narzary and Mahanta Narzary.

Police claimed to have recovered one 7.65 mm pistol, one magazine of 7.65 mm pistol, 2 round live ammunitions of  7.65 mm pistol, 2 hand grenades, 3 mobile phone and Rs. 2,220 cash  from them. 

'It has been showing blow of NDFB-S as security forces has been stepping strong operations against the militant outfit', claimed a senior police officer in Chirang.
