Sharp vigilance along border
An alleged infiltration of militants from Myanmar has forced the Chandel and Ukhrul district administrations in Manipur to imposed 144 CrPC within three km belt along the Indo-Myanmar border.
The round-the-clock vigilance is in place after the authorities got the inputs of the infiltration of disturbing elements from across the international border. The Chandal district magistrate Robert Singh Kshetrimayum in an order on October 15 said that 144 CrPC has been imposed acting on the inputs about infiltration from militant groups and illegal commodities.
