Choppers back in Arunachal Pradesh

Choppers are back to the sky of Arunachal Pradesh three months after a Pawan Hans chopper carrying Tirap Deputy Commissioner Kamalesh Joshi crash landed at Khunsa.

This time Sky One Airways Pvt Ltd starts operating the chopper service in from Naharlagun to Tawang via Guwahati. The service will operate on every Thursday & Friday from Naharlagun to Tawang. The present arrangement is purely temporary till resumption of service of 2nd MI-172 helicopter.

Amid an escalating crisis within the Arunachal Pradesh Congress legislative body, chief minister Nabam Tuki inducted 3 cabinet ministers a day after Governor JP Rajkhowa accepted Tuki's suggestion for removal of four cabinet ministers. Rajkhowa administered oath of office and secrecy to the newly inducted cabinet ministers at a brief function at the Raj Bhawan in the afteroon. They are Likabali MLA Jomde Kena, hunsa West MLA Tirong Aboh and Dirang MLA Phurpa Tsering. Chief minister Nabam Tuki along with his cabinet colleagues attended the function.

Governor JP Rajkhowa has yet to decide on the fate of four ministers whom chief minister Nabam Tuki wants to be dropped immediately.  They are agriculture minister Chowna Mein, Cooperative minister Kumar Waii, women and child development minister Wanglin Lowangdong and food and civil supplies minister Kamlung Mossang when they were believed to have revolted against Nabam Tuki as chief minister.In a bid to crack the whip on his dissidents, Tuki wrote to the governor recommending the dismissal of the four of has cabinet colleagues on October  6.
